Parenting Help Online
Host
Karen Apolloni
Like many first-time parents, I had very little experience with children when my daughter was born. And did I have questions! I
read books and asked other people for advice, and still wanted more answers. Where to turn? The Internet!
There's a wealth of information available, on everything from soothing a teething infant to rainy-day activities for bored preteens.
Here's a list of some popular, informative parenting sites on the Web.
Moms Online
This site features articles, answers to users' questions, and "Hot Tips" all written by experienced moms. Its "Ask the Pros" column
provides advice from professionals. Live chats and message boards are also available. There are non-parenting features, too.

answered by professionals. This site is searchable by topic or age group.
Parents Place
Here you'll find articles, live chat, chat with experts, bulletin (message) boards, and other features. Unusual items are the
pregnancy calendar, e-mail birth announcements, and postcards.
The Natural Child Project
The focus here is on attachment parenting, fostering strong connections between the child and parents. This site contains many
articles written by psychologists and has won more than 50 awards, including USA Today's Hot Site award.
Parenting Today's Teen
This site's introduction states that it provides "resources, insight and support for those who live with or work with teens." It

site.
